Images are transferred on to coloured glass by using the ‘sgraffito’ technique. A thin layer of enamel glaze is applied to the surface of the glass which is scratched away to create an image. The glass is then kiln fired and leaded into panels. Scratching images onto glass is a joy, the end results are amazing and when used in panels, bring a whole new perspective on stained glass art.
These pieces look their best in natural light.
