Based in Norfolk, Helen Taylor is a newly established glass artist creating individually designed bowls, wall hangings, dishes and free-standing display pieces using fused and stained glass techniques.
Taking inspiration from both nature and the beautiful Norfolk countryside, Helen designs and creates unique fused and stained glass pieces in her small, home workshop in Oxborough.
Helen has been an enthusiastic crafter for most of her life, with wide ranging interests in three-dimensional textile art, dressmaking and watercolour painting. But her first love has always been the artistry of glass;
"I've always been fascinated at how coloured glass changes with the light and the dazzling colour fusions it creates. Glass artists such as Tiffany, Chihuly and Lalique have greatly inspired my work, transforming glass into beautifully tactile, three-dimensional pieces with exquisite patterns and vibrant colours".
It has only been within the last couple of years that Helen has been able to fully indulge in her passion by research and attending courses.
“I find working with glass completely fascinating and enjoy every aspect of the process. At long last, I have finally realised my life-long ambition and hope to continue making unique and distinctive pieces for many years to come”
I do hope you have enjoyed looking at my designs.
